Through his monumental murals, you’ll tour some of Mexico City’s most iconic historic buildings while discovering how Rivera transformed art into a powerful tool for narrating the country’s past, celebrating its indigenous roots, challenging social inequalities, and embodying the grand ideals of the Mexican Revolution.

Beyond getting to know Frida Kahlo’s famous husband, you’ll discover a brilliant, controversial, revolutionary figure who was deeply committed to his time. We’ll explore the stories, symbols, and hidden messages in his works, as well as the political, philosophical, and artistic influences that shaped his life and forever transformed the history of public art.

Mexico City is considered the cradle of Mexican muralism, an artistic movement that revolutionized the way art is understood by taking it out of museums and into public spaces to make it accessible to everyone. Its impact was so profound that today it is recognized as one of the major precursors of contemporary urban art and has inspired generations of artists around the world.

This tour is ideal for travelers who want to discover Mexico from a different perspective: lovers of art, history, architecture, culture, and painting.
